mic problems fc5

ok i'm using alsa mixer seems i can hear myself but it won't record and send out i have messed with every part of the controll i can think of and still nothing i searched this forum for 3 hours now and nothing answer my exact question

what is it that i need to do to get it to capture my sound and send it out to skype this is driving me nutz

Use "Google Search", they have lots of articles. Use words (linux microphone alsa no record). As I understand if you can hear sound from the microphone through the speaker, everything will work; its a matter of getting the alsa controls right. Make sure the capture is turned on and the adjustment is set to max.
