I'm trying to compile modem drivers for Conexant HSF modem in Mandrake 10.0 (2.6.3 kernel). Unfortunately I've got errors about missing modversions.h file. I've checked it and there's no this file. I have installed kernel source. What can I do to compile this driver for 2.6.3 kernel?

I have the same problem when I load hsfconfig, which also occurs when I try to install the NVIDIA drivers : "The kernel header file /lib/modules/2.6.3-4mdk/build/include/linux/modversions.h does not exist. The most likely reason for this is that the kernel header files in /lib/modules/2.6.3-4mdk/build/include have not been configured"
I successfully compiled the HSF module under mandrake 10: simply don't use the source shipped with mandrake. Use instead the original sources of kernel 2.6.3. (You can download then visiting www.kernel.org.

Good luck!
One questions: have you compiled last stable drivers (with 14k speed limit) or maybe last beta version or any of previous stable versions (without speed limit)?

I compiled the 14K limited edition, the last from the linuxant site.
Then I don't wanted this limit and so installed mandrake 10 kernel 2.4.25 and compiled successfully an old beta version. Also in this case I had to got the original 2.4.25 sources.
