manually mark/add badblocks in ntfs

is there a way to manually mark or add badblocks in ntfs?
in this case, badblocks seem to be grouped, so I'd like to add some more without re-partitioning.
thanks.

ntfsprogs which contains ntfsfix is in ntfs-3g. There is also fsck.ntfs.

The best way to fix a ntfs volume is to stick it into a Microsoft machine. That is one thing that Microsoft does well, fix it's own proprietary file system.

I'd like to add surrounding blocks, to try and prevent head using that area. hoping it would prevent new badblocks.
in other words, I need to mark some blocks from a list used and unmovable.
