Smile Mantis & Test Link E-mail Notification

Hi All Experts,

I have already configured mantisbt-1.2.15 & testlink-1.9.8. They are integrated very well and i am able to file test cases.

I am not able to send E-mail notification from mantis to developers about 'filed issues'.

Kindly tell me that how can i enabled E-mail notification from mantis & testlink. What type of configuration is required in both applications to send e-mail notification. I am using phpmailer to send E-mail notifications.

Thanks in advance.

Have you read the documentation on Mantis, as it pertains to email configuration?

http://www.mantisbt.org/docs/master-...l#ADMIN.CONFIG
http://www.mantisbt.org/manual/manua...tion.email.php
...and...
http://wiki.bitnami.com/Applications...of_TestLink.3f

Until those settings are made, emails won't go out. This also assumes that you have a functioning email server set up to handle relaying of those emails.

Thanks for your kind reply. For e-mail notification, i want to use phpmailer not local e-mail server. In that case, what will be my configuration steps.

Thanks

Your 'configuration steps' are to follow the instructions that you have been provided. Those pages TELL YOU what to set, how, and where. So go read the documentation and modify it to fit what you need.

Also, PHPmailer will ALSO need a sendmail server somewhere, to process the mail. The only thing that it buys you is a better interface from a web page. Did you read the documentation on their site as well???
http://phpmailer.worxware.com/index.php?pg=tutorial#1

The very first page of the tutorials gives you examples...if you read/understand that, then you should look at the other documentation, and use that to set the variables. A small bit of effort will give you the solution.
