MANDRAKE 9.1 and KDE ...??

Just wondering if there's any major difference between the KDE version that comes with Mandrake 9.1 ( KDE 3.1 ), and the supposed new release out on freshmeat that says its 3.1.1??

Im trying to get it installed on my system, that I just upgraded with 9.1....but dont know if I really need to?

Can anyone shed some light?

Sorry I don't have your answer, but since you are running 9.1 now I thought I would ask your opnion on the new KDE. I'm still running 9, but I was thinking about trying to get the new KDE installed.

Is it worth the effort? Why?

KDE Install....

Yea dude...

Necessary files:

KDE-i18n
kdebase
kdelibs
aRTs

MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL aRTs first..... then kdelibs, than any other packages you want to install.

** if you're installing kdeaddons...make sure you install it last.
It looks for files from kdebase, and a few others.

If that doesnt help....check out the installation instructions from the horses mouth!!
