Making Fluxbox the Default Display Manager in Fedora Core II

Hello. I wish to make Fluxbox the default manager without having to select it from the session box all the time. I really hate knome due to the fact that it is slow and takes up a lot of screen space (My monitor only supports 800x600). So I really like using Fluxbox. How can I have it start up when I log on w/o selecting it from the session box?

Try creating a file in your home dir called .xsession that contains the path to the fluxbox executable (/usr/local/bin/fluxbox for me). This will cause flux to start no matter what session type you choose. You will have to do this for every user, but there is probably somewhere you can put this file to make the change system wide.

take a look in the /etc/X11/xinit/ folder, there should be a bunch of xinitrc.* files including one called just xinitrc, just make the xinitrc file a link to whatever wm you want, or put a link in your home directory called .xinitrc that points to the xinitrc. file of your choice of wm

Sorry, that should be .xinitrc, not .xsession.
