mainactor+codecs

is anyone out there using mainactor 5.5 for linux? i just finished playing around with it in windows, and it appears to have a good codec base. it supports uncompressed avi, quicktime, windows media (.wmv), and a few more. does this mean those also work in linux? or do i need the usual /usr/lib/win32 codecs from mplayer?

I haven't done much editing yet, but here are the choices MainActor gives for adding media:
DV AVI multi file (*.dzl)
DV AVI Type 1 (*.avi)
DV AVI Type 2 (*.avi)
DV DIF (*.dif *.dv)
MJPEG (*.avi *.mjpg *.mjpeg)
MPEG Audio (*.mpa *.mpg *.mp2)
MPEG (*.mpg *.mpeg *.mmv *.mpv *.dat)
PNG
Static Image (plenty)
WAV

For wmv I guess you need additional codecs?
