Mailing List eMail not getting through to Thunderbird (SimplyMEPIS 3.3.1)

Hey ya-
I installed MEPIS on my uncle's computer; he "dislikes" Macro$haft more than I it seems!

He is on a mailing list for his favorite band, and yet all his email is getting through to Thunderbird except this one. MEPIS has SpamAssassin, which seems to be a kMail filter, but I thought it might be filtering this too. I walked him through removing it in Synaptic, but I am not sure if thats a good idea or even going to solve his problem.

Any other ideas?

Have you tried adding the sending email address to your address book? This has frequently worked for me.
