lxpanel plugins

I would like to write a new plugin for lxpanel similar to the xfce4-netload-plugin for xfce4-panel or modify the original xfce4-netload-plugin, however I have no programming skills. I use Debian 11 with LXDE desktop, but this plugin should work with lxpanel installed in any Linux distro. The package and source code for the xfce4-netload-plugin can be found here:
https://packages.debian.org/source/s...netload-plugin
All panel plugins are .so files and located at:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/lxpanel/plugins (for LXDE)
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/xfce4/panel/plugins/libnetload.so (for Xfce)
libnetload.so is the Xfce pugin.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Good luck! I guess if starting with no programming skills it may take you a couple months, but I have confidence you can do it! When you do, try to get it into debian please!

I believe there used to be a dummy plugin source code somewhere, specifically for people to get started writing their own.
Anyhow, here's the source.
