Lucid Beta2 and upgrade


Hi folks was running the beta2, and just leftthe updates all turned on.

i do a
Code:
johnh@tux:~$ cat /etc/*-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=10.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=lucid
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 10.04 LTS"
johnh@tux:~$
but i've never had a sucessful upgrad on ubuntu, but this seems to have worked?

yes, or should i install off the disk just in case?

Congrats, you have successfully upgraded. If you find there are weird issues when using your system and you can't resolve them (or time is an issue) that is the time to consider doing a fresh install. Backup (you should do this anyway) any important documents you don't want to lose before reinstalling.

Thanks for that, my /home lives on it's own partion, it's only when I put stuff on /morespc and for get, is when I lose stuff!!
