LTSP Window-Positioning on Clients slightly different

Hi Forumers,

got a quite strange trouble with a fresh LTSP-Environment.

Facts:
Server: Opensuse 11.1
Env: xdm with icewm (1.2.38)
LTSP: 4.2
Clients: everything from PII to PIV with every kind of screens

To the problem:
If i run the main application (sap javagui) on the servers console (in runlevel 5) the window positioning is absolutely fine, everything's there where it should be.

Now, running the same stuff on a client out there in the network, some sap-popups appear on a (slightly) other position. For most of them its not a problem, but some are a bit longer in size and disappear "below the screen" although there would be enough space on top and - as i said - on the console screen the positioning is alright.

I've tried a bunch of icewm-versions, everyone behaves the same and it makes no difference what kind of client comes there. Same thing with tests from another Suse via XNest.

Has anybody a good idea? This thing already takes up 3 days of nut cracking (

Greets
Steve

just for the archive

I solved the "problem" by using openbox instead of icewm (what a pity!)
