Looking for FOSS presentation app with slick animations.

Wanting to port a project to OSS, but have an existing presentation that was created using Apple's "Keynote". I can't just export it to an acceptable format, because we need it editable. It uses drop shadows and multiple animation,ie. scale, move, dissolve..., effects. Is there an OSS app, without a steep learning curve, that I can remake the existing presentaton in?

The only thing an audience should get from any presentation is the message (service, product, sharing information). If the message is to make your audience aware you suffer from an advanced case of effect fetish then you should indeed overload it with all the scale, move, dissolve, etc, etc effects you can find... :-] Anyway. Keynote and OOo both support the PPT format so maybe try that?
