Exclamation Looking for business apps

I'm looking for two (or so) apps to us with a computer to be used in a motel by a friend of mine.

I need a labor management software tool, something very straight forward that allows the assignment and adjustment of hourly labour shifts. I'm fairly confident I can find this in open source.

Also, more unlikely, is there anything out there that would allow the management of simple room bookings and payment schemes? Even something simple that allows managing accounts for people would work well.

Thanks

Z
