Logging in FC4

I just installed FC4 on my laptop and am getting some errors on bootup about my wireless card (which strangely still works when it boots up) but I'm unable to see exactly what the error messages say before the screen clears.

I thought I'd be able to check a log somewhere, and found /var/log/boot.log but the file is always completely empty, 0 bytes.

Is there something I have to do to enable logging? I've never done anything like this before so I don't know what to do.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Try the command 'dmesg'. It will print out a lot of information on what went on during boot.
In addition, /var/log/messages is sometimes helpful.
