lock cd-eject-funktion without mount

hi,
is there a possibility to "lock" drives or the eject-mechanism (CD/DVD/..)?

background could be:
a cronjob mounts a cd and compares the read-only files from the cd with original files (eg. certs, checksums,...). after the cronjob, the medium will be unmounted for security reasons.

so far so good, but it would be better to lock the cd-tray, that nobody can take out (and fake) the cd in drive!

any ideas? or what do you think?

You could just keep the CD mounted, or spawn a process that opens a file on the CD for reading. It all depends against who you want to protect yourself - bypassers, processes ?
