burned some dvd's of live distrobutions but after booting to desktop, no keyboard/mouse response. One of the dvd's just errors out and says usb read/input error. I checked the image integrity and all matched so it leads me to believe it's a configuration error, because the mouse/keyboard work normally. So how do I get it to work?
You could start by indicating which Linux distribution you are using as there are hundreds of different distributions available and they are not all the same. Are you trying to install to a usb drive?
I got 64bit amd machine. Some distro's I tried were debian, gentoo, systemrescue, nixos. Something goes wrong when it starts polling for keyboard or layout. Otherwise the hardware appears to function normally.
