Linux Localization for Beignner


Hello! folks
I was searching for localizing linux stuff but didn't got some suitable for beginner like me. Can any one of you explain the procedure to get in linux localization work in simple words.
1) what we have to actually do in localization
2) what is the simple tools and procedure to start on
3) what are the major problem that one might face in localization of linux
and anything informative u wanna share with me.. thanx

depends what you want to achieve... usually, nothing.

sure... you need to be more specific. If you want to know about setting up support for a particular language, or create support for a new language, or whatever... it is important. There are also distribution specific as well as language specific things.

Google with "locale" rather than "localization". Use the term "tutorial" for lessons and "howto" for step-by-step. Don't expect good results on the first try: b. prepared to read some pages to help you refine your search. Be prepared to accept hits that are almost right.
