Linux-atm-2.4.0 'make' problem

Hi,
I am currently trying to install the tools and libraries for ATM and I have a few errors appearing at the end of the 'make' process.

I have the Linux-atm-2.4.0.tar.bz file and when I do
./configure followed bymake , I get the following reported:

/usr/include/asm/atomic.h :40:2 warning:
#warning using kernel header in userland program. BAD!

In file included from sonetdiag.c:18:
/usr/incluse/linux/sonet.h :65: parse error before "_SONET_ITEMS"

In file included from sonetdiag c:18:
/usr/include/linux/sonet.h :72:2 #end if without#if

Can anyone give me any ideas about what might be causing these errors?

I have recompiled the kernel successfully as required by the readme in the Linux-atm-2.4.0 folder.

Thanks in advance,
Ludwig
