LimeWire Install. Yes. Java VM is installed

I am absolutely positive I installed Java VM. It is in the directory "/usr/java". I even ran a few executables just to make sure. Am I doing something wrong or not running a certain command?

Code:
[root@localhost root]# '/home/david/Documents/LimeWireLinux.bin'
Preparing to install...
Extracting the installation resources from the installer archive...
Configuring the installer for this system's environment...
No Java virtual machine could be found from your PATH
environment variable. You must install a VM prior to
running this program.
[root@localhost root]#

The problem is not that it is not installed - the problem is that it is not in your $PATH environment variable. The $PATH is a colon-separated list of directories which are searched for executables when you type the name of a program at the prompt (or execute a command through a menu). Type echo $PATH to see if it includes the bin subdirectory of your JRE installation.

If your Java installation lives in /usr/java/j2re-blehversion you should be able to type export PATH=$PATH:/usr/java/j2re-blehversion/bin (note the bin directory at the end) to add the location of the Java executables to your $PATH.

If this works you can add the export command to /etc/profile to make it apply for all users on the system, or just add it to your ~/.bash_profile or ~/.bashrc to make it only for yourself.

Thank you so much. This is the first time I have ever got past Java on Linux. For some odd reason. This time installing Linux (after the break I had) everything is working for me. Good luck I guess~ or just a better common sense
