I'm trying to install bmpx, but it involves so many issues with dependencies that I'm going to take it one thing at a time. I need to upgrade GTK+, which, as I understand, requires you to upgrade glib, atk, and pango first. When I try to do that with pango, while make is doing its thing, I get the following:
Code:
libtool: link: warning: `/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-slackware-linux/3.3.6/../../..//libfreetype.la' seems to be moved
libtool: link: warning: `/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-slackware-linux/3.3.6/../../..//libgobject-2.0.la' seems to be moved

The same warnings are repeated several times during compile (and, if I recall correctly, during "make install"). Everything builds and installs correctly, but I was running into problems down the road and wanted to take it one step at a time. Why am I getting this error, and where is the strange path coming from (by the way, all those files do exist in /usr/lib)? I usually ignore minor warnings that come up during the compile that don't affect anything, but this was repeated so often I thought it was worth trying to fix.
Thanks in advance.
