I was surprised when an older Kubuntu (10.10?) had Libre Ofc but 11.01 went back to Open Ofc, Now I have 11.10 and can't open ANY of my existing spreadsheets, Guess I'm going to have to boot an older Kubuntu, but those are all on my 500 Gb SATA, which causes a range error when I try to boot from it, Maybe I'll have to go to the library and print those that are xls. But that's why I started keeping them in xls--for the times I have had no working computer.

Later: I realized that Libre Calc wasn't even opening, so I reinstalled it. No help, so I installed K-Spread and plan to use that until Libre Calc is fixed.

I tried a couple of days later and it opened and did what I wanted. Don't remember if I accepted an update during that time.
