Unhappy ldap domain naming problem


hello to all
well my problem is not gone be tough for u people
so please answer it
how to give domain name in sldap.conf
if my domain name is

http://A.B.C.D/ its regt. domain name

where A - is my dept domain name
and rest B.C.D is my parent domain.
normally for example.com
we write
dc=example,dc=com

i tried with
dc=A,dc=B,dc=C,dc=D
but it didnt work , so if it is right than there may be some other
problem, please confirm

please help

i had ou=organasation
but i just want to know its ok the way i have used dc for
www.A.B.C.D
just confirm ,
