It looks like you are missing a metafount package faumw8t

It can be found at the following webpage

http://www.ctan.org/cgi-bin/filename...&Search=Search

There is also a link to the ctan homepage at the bottom. These are the guys that support latex development. From their mainpage you can see where you can get more help in the form of a newsgroup and user group. There is also a link to start reading more about latex. There is a search function on a webpage that helps you locate packages. Hope this helps.

When I searched the hard disk, I've found the metafont files and also copied them to the texmf directory. But the latex still can't find those files. So I copied them to the same directory as the tex file. It worked and a dvi file was successfully made. But when I tried to convert the dvi to ps with dvips, it has these errors:

This is dvips(k) 5.95a Copyright 2005 Radical Eye Software
(www.radicaleye.com)
' TeX output 2006.09.21:1137' -> temp-print2.ps
kpathsea: Running mktexpk --mfmode ljfour --bdpi 600 --mag 1+0/600 --dpi
600 faumw8t
mktexpk: don't know how to create bitmap font for faumw8t.
kpathsea: Appending font creation commands to missfont.log.
dvips: Font faumw8t not found, characters will be left blank.
kpathsea: Running mktexpk --mfmode ljfour --bdpi 600 --mag 1+0/600 --dpi
600 finmd8t
mktexpk: don't know how to create bitmap font for finmd8t.
dvips: Font finmd8t not found, characters will be left blank.
<tex.pro>. [1]

EDIT: I've found the installation note of the font and it said that I must include "p +emerald.map" into the dvi configuration (...../dvips/config/config.ps). But still it didn't work.

Nevermind. I've solved the mystery. Thanks anyway.
