Konqueror crash when trying to print

Distro: Slackware
CUPS: 1.1.23
KDE: 3.5 (packages from KDE repos)
QT: 3.3.4
Printer: HP Laserjet 1100

----

I wanted to print a page but when I tried it, Konqueror first closed and then showed the window where it tried to send the job to the printer. I waited a while but nothing happened. I tried to print again but still didn't print.

I then copied the link to the site to Firefox and tried to print and now it printed just fine.

I wondered why Konqueror couldn't send jobs, so I again tried to print another page but this time I got a message about Konqueror crashing. I did the backtrace and it gave me this:
Code:

Using host libthread_db library "/lib/tls/libthread_db.so.1".

The test page printed just fine. What caused the crash and how can I fix this?

KDE has all kinds of bugs. I used to love KDE. Its really great (good looking with tons of apps), but very unstable.

Does the same thing happen using GNOME in natalus? Try printing from other apps (such as firefox, office, etc..)

Also, go to KDE Configuration tool. Try printing a test page. Does that work?

Gnome has always messed menu in my KDE when I installed it to Slackware, so I don't use it. Also KDE (and Fluxbox) is enough for me, I don't need Gnome.

Test page printing works.

Hmm. Then there isn't a problem with your printer. If all other programs work just fine, then there may be an internal problem with Konquor. What version are you running? Are you running KDE 3.3/3.4/3.5? If you're running 3.5, try rolling back to 3.4
