Knoppix to recover fstab?

Hey Guys,

I just got done with a build, but in the process I screwed up my fstab and forgot to set default options for my root partition, therefore it mounts as read only at boot and freaks out my boot sequence. I just want to edit the fstab and save it back to my /etc drectory. Can I do this through knoppix? Rescue mode? is there a save? please let me know?

Once you boot knoppix this will remount all mounted file systems rw.

sudo mount -o remount,rw /mnt/

I think kencaz wanted to say that the command above will mount the harddrives rw in Knoppix, and once you know which one holds the fstab file, you may edit with something like 'pico /mnt/hda1/etc/fstab/'. If it's on something else than hda1, modify accordingly.
