kmail does not send

Hi,
I am trying to send an e-mail using kmail but I receive this message:
Quote:
Sending failed:
Authorization failed, An error occured during authentication: SASL(-4): no mechanism available: No worthy mechs found authentication not supported
The message will stay in the 'outbox' folder until you either fix the problem (e.g. a broken address) or remove the message from the 'outbox' folder.
The following transport protocol was used:
panafonet
As I don't have much idea about e-mails, I don't understand what SASL is and how I could workaround this.
Can anybody help?

Have you configured the KMail settings? You need to enter the SMTP and POP server addresses of your ISP. Double check them to make sure they are correct.

Yes, the settings are correct because I can use them with MS outlook in windows and also I can receive mail using kmail.
I cannot send though.

I googled and came up with this.

Thanks, that solved the SASL error message but I got another message that my server does not support authentication, so I just disabled the "server requires authentication" option and now it works fine.
I suppose that if I had done this from the beggining I wouldn't have to post here.

Thanks anyway.
