KGhostView lacks find command?

Linux kernel 2.6, Slackware 12.0
KDE 3.5.7
KGhostView 0.20

Hi:
I cannot find the command to search for text in KGhostview. More precisely, I want to find a given string within the text of the document I am viewing. In most word processors, ^F will open a window where I can type the string. I have looked at every pull down menu and submenu and at every icon in the tool bar. As I have found nothing, I took a look at the help, very concise indeed. But again I have found no reference to the search tool/command. It is obvious I'm missing something very basic. Any suggestion would be welcome. Regards.

P.S.: in case it helps, the doc I'm working with is a PDF file.

Hmm... never used KGhostView but in many terminal applications the forward slash (/) is used to find text...
Code:
/sometext
If that's the case then to find the next occurrence you may be able to press the n key.
Also previous occurrence may be pressing shift+n.

Thanks. But that is not the case with KGhostView. It is not an ncurses app but an X app. Regards.

KPdf is the KDE real PDF viewer. But both KPdf and KGhostView have been replaced by Okular, but it may not be available on Slack 12 (it is in 13+). Okular have advanced Firefox like search note taking capabilities and bookmark system. It also support most documents formats. ForKDE3, KPdf does have a search box, but it is not as nice as it's successor.
