Hello, my kernel is always freezing when i'm booting any linux version. i saw on the bios screen at the booting that a "multimedia card" and something called "ACPI" have the same IRQ numbers. is it possible that my freezing kernel has something to do with the IRQ numbers? the kernel freezes at SuSE 10.0 on installation at "1.3 read floppy" and on knoppix 4.0 while searching for USB Ports at the beginning of the kernel.
but what else could it be? i also tried to install windows xp but after the installation just at the first boot it hung up too.
strange things happen...
windows is minor important than linux for me.
please help me
