Kdevelop under Debian
I'm trying to learn how to use Kdevelop for Linux GUI programming. I installed the kdevelop package, all the gcc stuff, and what I thought were the necessary qt and kde development files. I can get a simple wizard generated Hello World app to compile and run, but the minute I add another resource widget (completely wizard generated), moc (the QT Meta Object Compiler) goes nuts. It says it can't find the header for my resource, which the wizard made in the same directory, and when I force it, it gives me all kinds of parse errors and class errors in the header file. Again, I'm simply using the basic wizard generated stuff (there's no add code here part), and not even calling the widget I added, it should still be a Hello World app, but with an extra resource attached, so I highly doubt its a code thing. While I am new to Kdevelop and QT, I have lots of command line C and C++ coding experience and some GUI experience using MFC under Visual C++, so there's nothing wrong with the code I can see either.
Any suggestions as to what the problem might be would be useful. I can give more detailed lists of what's installed or post code if needed, though I seriously think this is some kind of configuration issue possibly with Debian or Kdelevop. I checked google and there was no immediate clear answer, a number of similar problems showed up but for much older versions of Kdevelop and QT. Debian is Sarge Stable running a vanilla 2.6.7 kernel. Kdevelop is 3.2, the latest version in Stable.
