Kdevelop g++ permission denied

hello i have installed kdevelop - the ide for c++ programs.

I tried to compile the simple hello world program, logged in as a normal user but get the error:

g++ permission denied.

What file do i need to change to get permission to use the compiler in this ide as an ordinary user please?

thanks

Hmmm, it's odd that you would need to change it. But here's how.

It's probably in /usr/bin/g++ but to check, type "which g++"

Then, "chmod a+x /usr/bin/g++"

Thanks, Ive sorted this out now. The problem was i had been running my system on a default security level that meant only root could execute g++
