Kdevelop and revision control

I have moved over to linux for all of my school programming assignments and I would appreciate some help with setting up some sort of revision control in kdevelop. What is the best system to use? I have subversion and cervisia installed both. How do i setup a local repository? The only information I can find is connecting to a remote repository but none on local ones. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Or can someone point me in the right direction just on setting up a local CVS repository?
