KDE: Taskbar at the bottom and Launch control at the top?
Hello dear LQ community,
I am having a blast with kubuntu atm, but one thing that really annoys me is the fact that I cant seem to have the tasbar at the bottom (the programs running) and to keep the other icons (Quick launch, time, system tray) at the top of the screen. I know this can be done, ive seen it in a lot of screenshot. Could you help me out please? I think gnome is doing this by default.

You might be referring to taskbar V2. Go here and use ' taskbar ' in the search box and look at the images of the itmes there. See if that is what you are after. http://www.kde-apps.org/

Add a panel and put the quick launch, time and system tray applets on it. Then you can remove those 3 items from the bottom panel, making sure to leave the taskbar applet on it.
