KDE startup as user fails...

Ok i try to run KDE as a user and it freezes on the bootup and i am forced to hardboot. But when i start it up as root i have no problems... It freezes at random intervals , but never loads up or plays the intro sound... Anyone know why this is happening? Thanks.

When i log outta root it goes to my x windows manager which is KDM atm. startx works fine for me. I dont have mandrake nor have i ever used it so i cant give you advice, just make sure you have all the dependencies. Lets just hope someone can solve this :P.

It just came back itself (it's so strange when a computer acts capricious, not?) i was about to yell and shout about at wiki.X Though i still wonder why, why... But you're right, i like Debian too (it checks for dependencies, mamma mia), i will move on to Debian if i can locate *any* unaware friend in possession of CDs. (Would be long from ftp i guess ) Thanks anyway :
