KDE logout script - where is it?

Hi, I need to run a script when I call for KDE to log out.
It would be ideal to add my code to the logout script, but I can't find it1

Alternatively, is there anything like ~/.kde/Autostart/ but for shutdown?

Thanks,
Riddick

I don't think KDE has a logout script.

hmm very useful - but surely something happens

Thanks for a fast but useless answer

Yes, but not everything is controlled by a script. KDE does some state-saving, kills processes, then exits. How are you logging in to KDE?

Thanks for a fast good answer!
I'm logging in from RL 3 with "startx".

My script kills a process whose number it reads from a file.
The process is 3ddeskd.

It needs to be called before X closes, otherwise
the kernel gets upset.

Hrrm, that is perplexing. I would think the X server should kill all its clients before shutting down.

There's a section at the end of /usr/bin/startkde where various shutdown scripts are called. You could try calling your script from there. Or try this.
