KDE doesn't remember sound settings

Hey all,

I know I've seen this thread before, but I can't find it via search.

I'm running SuSE9.1 amd64 on my M6810 laptop. Runs fine.
However, I run AlsaMixerGUI and have to re-adjust the sound settings each time I reboot the laptop.
Anyway to make these settings stick?

Tnx.

Right. Guess I should have remembered to mention that before.

I already tried the command alsactl store to no avail.

Hmm...

Try opening kmix, going to Settings > Configure KMix and seeing if the "Restore volumes on login" is checked. Try selecting that... maybe it'll work.

(if it's already enabled, try disabling it. Maybe it is interfering with alsa's volume storing?)
