KDE clock going out of sync at every login

Hi all

on my laptop, I am currently using SuSE 10.1 with KDE as GUI, and recently I have been experiencing a strange behaviour of my desktop clock: after every login, the time (and date) are slightly wrong. Usually, it is a few hours ahead of what it should be; so, I have to fix it every time I turn my system on.

The funny thing is, it has nothing to do with batteries or the hardware in general: I have a double-OS system, and my Windows clock is not affected by the same problem at all.

Can anybody help me?

Thanx

From the Kde menu, select Control Centre - Yast - System - Date and Time.
Select your region (Europe), Time Zone (Italy). In the drop down box under Time Zone, select Local Time. The time and date will be displayed under that drop down box.

If they are not correct, move to the left and click on the Change Time or Date button. Set the date and time, then click on finish or apply.

Yast will synchronize system and hardware clocks

Re-boot to see whether or not that fixed the problem.
