Exclamation KDE apps crash

i am running SuSE 9.2 64-bit....

i recently upgraded the kde from 3.4 to 3.4.1

some apps like control panel, konqueror, konsole, and some other(havent found them yet) crash when they are opened.

does anyone else have a similar p[roblem.... or know of any fixes??

first i would delete all the config junk like ~/.kde folder
and all the kde junk in /tmp and /var/tmp
and any hidden files that start with .DCOPserver_ in your home directory
and let the new kde make it's own files and see if it fixes it
it might (worth a try)

hmmmmm
so many little kde gotchas
when you run the offending apps from an xterm do you get any kind of error output as a hint to what is going wrong ?

when it crashes that crash screen comes up, ill print the bactrace info on it(when i g basck to kde) ..maybe it will show what is happening.
