K3B Disk Copy types: Normal vs. Clone?

I've finally got K3B configured to work properly on my SuSE 9.1 system. When using the copy CD function, the user is offered two options: Normal Copy vs. Clone Copy. What's the difference? TIA!

My understanding is as follows:
clone will take a disk image of the cd.
Normal copies each track one after the other and then creates a CD in reverse.

here are the results i've had so far: "normal" copies of audio CD are playable in Cd players, while "clone" copies are not.
