Question just AOL messanger

Hello all,
had anyone tried AOL messanger yet ? I've used it before on redhat 7.* but I cannot get it to work under slackware. First:

./aim: error while loading shared libraries: libXpcs.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

So I went to ld.so.conf and added line with location of AIM libraris which in this case was /home/aim/local/lib

Now when starting AOL nothing happens... COMMAND IS being executed and shell returns.
