jk connector

Hi,

I installed both Apache2 and Tomcat5.
I'm now looking for the binary version of what they call the "connector".
On Tomcat website, this is the available link:
http://mirrors.combose.com/apache/ja...nux/jk-1.2.14/

I'm no expert, but I think a file that has "x86_64" in its name is not good for a regular amd computer no? I think i heard that's for new 64bits computers.
And that's all there is in there.
I can't use any distrib-custom-made file, I manually installed Apache and Tomcat.

Also I tried to use the "source" version.
Beeing a Linux newbie (actually GNU/Linux newbie after reading some stuff on gnu.org ), I don't understand much of it...
The file includes very little documentation.
The ./configure command fails with a stddef.h file missing.

[EDIT: error: C++ preprocessor "/lib/cpp" fails sanity check]

[EDIT: according to the config.log, it looks for stddef.h in /usr/include, whereas according to "locate stddef.h" it's in /usr/include/linux.]

But anyway, I think if I could just find the binary version that would already made things a lot easier.

Thanks!

Nathan

Now I updated "cpp" thru Yum Extender.
It stops even earlier:
error: C compiler cannot create executables
