Java programing

Hello all,

I would like to start programing with Java on a redhat 9.0 computer.
Can you tell me what I have to download / install to write my first program.

The Java 1.4.2 SDK .rpm.bin file from java.sun.com
Read the install instructions.

And once you have Java installed, do yourself a favor and install a nice IDE like Eclipse. It makes coding and debugging much easier.
