I installed 1.1.3.10 and it works fine on my Konqueror browser, but not on my Mozilla browser.
Now, I went to the browser-plugins directory and compared the plugins for Konquerer and Mozilla and they're the same. I even copied/pasted and overwritten the existing ones to make sure my eyes weren't decieving me, LOL.
Now, when I goto say a page with a chat, the applet loads on Konqueror, but if I type in the same page on Mozilla, it says I need a plug-in.
What can I do to make Mozilla load the Java applet? I have the Java folder installed in the usr/Java directory, but which component do I need to copy/paste specifically?
**edit**
there is also the usr/lib/java, but it's so extensive when opened....I thought I'de add that as it may help....
Where at on Preferences? I've browsed the whole thing.....only thing that could be it is helper applications.....and I only have quicktime and mplayer...LOL.

You need to create a symlink in your /mozilla/plugins folder to your /usr/Java/libjavaplugin.so file or something like that. I don't remember the exact file name that it's supposed to be linked to.
Yeah, cause I tried the libjava.so and libjavaplugin.so and yeah, when I check my plugins from Help>about Plugins it says I have this list of Java plugins....I just dunno which specific on I'de need in order to be able to use Java.....
I did everything you said. I had to modify the j2re-1_4_2 to j2re-1_4_2_03....so it worked. If I goto the plugins directory, I get the little locked icon on the paper named linjavaplugin_oji.so, so that whole sym link worked. But I goto a website where I need Java and there is still the message that appears "You need a Java plug-in....". What do I do?
Like somebody else said, when I click the Help > About plugins, no Java plug-ins appear on the list. But I have that sym link icon in my Mozilla Plug ins directory.... WTF?
