java keyboard randomly not responding

Dear all,

I always facing problem keyboard problem when using application write by java.
At begining eveything work well, after sometimes the keyboard start not responding in Java program(All kind of java application, include Compiere ERP, Tina POS and etc). However, if I switch to kde/gnome everything work well, return back to java application it remain not detect keystroke. Finally what I can do is restart the java application with mouse.

I did try quite a few Linux distro and hardware before, and all facing same problem (But Windows have no problem).

I believe somebody have same problem with me, anybody solve it?

Ks

had it happen before

I have had this happen before on things like runescape where it would randomly not allow input. My work around was to click in to the search box in firefox type a few things then click back into the java appelet.

My brother said it stopped happening to him in Ubuntu 6.10 when he stopped running chat windows ontop of the java applet page.

Hope that helps. Also what version of java are you running? updating it might help.

I didn't use applet, the java version I use is 1.5.11, and the application I use is Compiere ERP. Switching to other application type something can't solve my problem. I need to restart my ERP client (It take long time, event a high performance PC).
Some more idea?

Update java

What distro are you using? There is a newer version of java available 1.6.1 i think.

do a google search for something like "howto java install <distro goes here>"
