Cant stop Konqueror from also poping up :(

Well I've read all the suggestion and though I haven't had time to try them all (script methods) I assure you I've tried all the others. First thing I tried worked (Control Center > KDE Components > Component Chooser > Web Browser > -- selected Firefox from nav tree --) but Konqueror still insists on popping up. It doesn't do anything t just starts-up, Firefox launches properly and gets the page I'm after but it just a little annoying. I still have to close the unwanted window. I've restarted my system and XWindows independently just incase this was some kind of caching issue but to know eval.

Does it happen to anyone else?

Running: Debian/Linux 3.1, KDE 3.3.2, Firefox 1.0

How to keep your Firefox installation simple:

This works for me, and the 20+ exployees that use my workstations daily. It should work for you.

1 - Download Firefox from mozilla:
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/all.html

2 - Become superuser

3 - Untar it (or unzip it) to a folder

4 - Run the install script from that folder

5 - Install it to /firefox

(That's right. No directories. No subdirectories. Just plain / )

6 - cd to your /firefox directory

7 - chmod 777 -R *

8 - Enjoy Firefox with any user! Simply have an icon on their desktop that points to:
/firefox/firefox

Cheers
