is there anyway to allow samba user change their password without admin?


I'm curious as far as i know we only be able to change password using smbpasswd, i try to search it online this question but doesnt get answer.

But without knowing the configuration of your environment hard to say more.

Im using Centos 7 on Vmware and this is a standalone server,

is there any more information you need?

for example: if there was an AD involved, if LDAP was used, how the users are configured/set at all?

I've used Usermin to give users the ability to change their own email passwords. Don't know if it can be configured to do that for samba -- I suspect it can.
