is there any software to give sms to a cellphone

hi,
Is there any software in linux from which we can give sms to cellphones like yahoo messenger in windows.I knew a little about gnome meeting.can we send sms through it.

I believe you can send sms messages via Kopete.

licq will send it for free if the cellular network agrees.

you gotta define a user's cellphone number in his details first
meaning u gotta right click the user -> info -> and under cellular enter the cellphone number including all country codes -> save
than just right click the user -> send -> send sms

ok, the best way to do this is to go to linuxsoftware.cz ... and select english as your language (top Right hand corner, click the english flag)
then on the left there is a list of types of programs, select INTERNET
then select CHAT...
go throught there... look at the program descriptions, i've recently seen a few SMS programs in there.
