Is there any DM which choose only desktop environment?

Hello

I use only in one user and configure that it log directly to it.

But If I want to change for example from GNOME to KDE I need to log out to gnome and change to KDE.

Is there any DM which only choose desktop environment without ask about the user and its passward?

Nadav

Not in my experience. When you log in---one way or the other---you are establishing a "session". It can be a terminal session or a GUI (like KDE or Gnome). You can have multiple sessions open at the same time.

I think maybe you can log in to KDE, then log in AGAIN to Gnome. Then, use ctrl-alt-F7 (F8, F9, etc. to switch between sessions)

It's not the purpose.

I don't want to open more then one desktop environment.

I want that In the DM I only choose desktop environment without choose user and type its password.

I don't know how to do that...

When you create a session, you have to specify the user and the type of session. (You can disable the password for any user.)
