Is there a KDE utility to move the screen around?

My monitor has a 10mm black space on the left when KDE is running. Is there a utility that will allow me to move it over? I can use the monitor controls but then text is off screen when not in KDE.

I had this same problem before but dont remember how I fixed it...:~

Dont log off or restart x or restart the whole computer, challenge yourself to see how long you can keep your box up.

Open a terminal.
Start xvidtune from the command line.
Make your adjustments.
Then click "Show".
The "Modeline" for the current mode and settings will be displayed in the terminal window. You'll have to copy & paste this into the appropriate section of your xorg.conf or XF86Config-4 file.
Then the settings will survive a restart of X.

My lcd monitor has a button on it that will "auto tune" and recenter the picture on the screen.

The Monitor section of my XF86Config-4 looks like this:
Code:
Section "Monitor"
    Identifier "monitor1"
    VendorName "Plug'n Play"
    ModelName "Dell P991"
    HorizSync 30-107
    VertRefresh 48-120
    Modeline "1280x1024" 157.50 1280 1368 1528 1712 1024 1025 1028 1068 +hsync +vsync
EndSection
Your Modeline will probably be different of course.
You'll have to restart X by logging out and then back in to see the change.
