ircd installing problem

Hi,
I have a problem installing ircd. When I try to configure I get this:

Code:
duja@mp3dz:~/ircd-hybrid-7.2.3> ./configure --prefix=/home/duja/ircd --with-nicklen=20 --with-maxclients=500 --with-topiclen=400
checking for gcc... gcc
checking for C compiler default output file name... configure: error: C compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details.
duja@mp3dz:~/ircd-hybrid-7.2.3>
And config.log contains this:

Code:
This file contains any messages produced by compilers while
running configure, to aid debugging if configure makes a mistake.

It was created by ircd-hybrid configure 7.2.2, which was
generated by GNU Autoconf 2.60. Invocation command line was

  $ ./configure --prefix=/home/duja/ircd --with-nicklen=20 --with-maxclients=500 --with-topiclen=400

Judging from these lines:
Code:
/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.1.0/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: skipping incompatible /lib/libc.so.6 when searching for /lib/libc.so.6
/usr/lib64/gcc/x86_64-suse-linux/4.1.0/../../../../x86_64-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find /lib/libc.so.6
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I think you may not have the required version of libc installed. Check the README and see what the needed version is and make sure yours matches.
