Invalid preprocessing tokens while compiling Dancer

I'm trying to compile a Dancer 4.16 IRC bot, and keep getting thses error messages:
Code:
command.c:4313:36: pasting "(" and "topitem" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4313:36: pasting "topitem" and "*" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4313:36: pasting "(" and "topitem" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4313:36: pasting "topitem" and ")" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4340:35: pasting "(" and "topitem" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4340:35: pasting "topitem" and "*" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4340:35: pasting "(" and "topitem" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4340:35: pasting "topitem" and ")" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4374:35: pasting "(" and "topitem" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4374:35: pasting "topitem" and "*" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4374:35: pasting "(" and "topitem" does not give a valid preprocessing token
command.c:4374:35: pasting "topitem" and ")" does not give a valid preprocessing token
I'm not quite sure what's wrong. I've downloaded the source twice (2 different versions, 4.16 and 4.15b2) and get the same errors on both. I've looked at the source, but everything seems to fit OK. One thing I did notice is that the errors are listed for every occurence of topitem, but the definition is OK:
Code:
typedef struct {
  struct Header h;
  char name[32];
  int  count;
} topitem;
This is the only place I could think it could be. Also, neither a search on Google, or a search on here, return any useful results.
